This collection is all 190 of Swami Kriyananda’s vocal melodies in one place for the first time.
For Ananda musicians, these songs have become the inner soundtrack of our spiritual aspiration. They grow sweeter with each passing year as they gradually reveal more of their meaning. Many people have been profoundly touched by this music. Some have been healed.
May this music do the same for you.
Extra choral parts and complex instrumentation have been removed. Optional key changes are provided for ease of group singing. Beginning guitarists and pianists will find most of the music easy to learn and play. Long-time Ananda musicians will discover gems they may never have heard before.
This music is for personal enjoyment, group sing-alongs, and performances.
Whether you hum in the shower, sing in your car, perform for others, or even if you think you can’t sing, this songbook is for you. May it become a dog-eared companion: well-worn, and well-loved.

“This songbook is a triumph! It has revolutionized accessibility of Swami Kriyananda's music. This is a must-have for anyone who enjoys Swami's music. It makes finding, learning, and playing these songs effortless and fun. Even the pieces traditionally accompanied by more challenging arrangements have simple chords — I am unaccomplished on the guitar, yet I could play my way through about half of the songbook in a single sitting without any trouble! Now, I keep it by my meditation space and sing some of this music every day.
'The physical edition is very well laid out, with almost zero mid-song page turns. The book boasts an impressive index, making it easy to find the song you're looking for. My personal favorite feature is a song-by-category section at the end of the book, listing songs by their qualities or attributes. Want to find one of Swami's lullabies but can't remember the name? No problem! Want to find a few songs to bring out spirit in nature? There's a whole list of those! And so on. This feature alone makes the book invaluable to any devotee and anyone creating experiences for others.
'The digital version is a treat. Easy to use features allow you to jump quickly from title to title, as well as instant access to links to online recordings of how to play and sing many of the songs.
'I have both physical and digital versions, and use both almost daily. Everyone should have the digital version on their phone, if nothing else.
'This book is probably the greatest breakthrough in accessibility to Swami Kriyananda's music I've seen so far. Please make an instrumental one next!”

Ananda and Crystal Clarity Publishers are pleased to announce the second in our series of online books. The first was Paramhansa Yogananda’s spiritual classic, Autobiography of a Yogi.

Swami Kriyananda and
Paramhansa Yogananda
Ananda was founded by Swami Kriyananda, a direct disciple of Yogananda. Kriyananda was inspired by his guru to start “World Brotherhood Colonies.” Ananda, and its sister colonies throughout the world, are the fulfillment of Yogananda’s dream. See Chapter 48, in this 1946 edition, to read Yogananda’s own words on World Brotherhood Colonies.

Kriyananda’s autobiography is perhaps the most complete biography of Yogananda. The author shares numerous stories and insights about his Guru.

The New Path is also a fascinating story of one man’s search for Truth. Kriyananda recounts how as a young man he examined and discarded as false many of the promises offered by modern society. Gradually he realized that lasting human happiness comes not from outer success, but from deepening spiritual awareness.

Eventually his searching brought him to the door of one of the spiritual giants of this century, Paramhansa Yogananda. What ensues is Kriyananda’s spiritual training under Yogananda. Yogananda showed him a clear path to the attainment of spiritual ideals through the practice of the science of deep yoga meditation.

The yoga philosophy and way of life are explained vividly through insightful stories and experiences of living with a self-realized master.
